Send from Gmail
Connect a Gmail account with Google sign-in and send from your own address.
Transactional and lifecycle email
A transactional email service sends automated emails triggered by customer actions, such as order confirmations, receipts and reminders. Slovio sends email from workflows through Gmail or ZeptoMail, alongside WhatsApp, RCS and SMS, personalised with contact and order data. Email in Slovio is send-only, so replies go to your own mailbox.
Email at a glance
Email in Slovio is a workflow step: it sends when something happens, from your own address.
Email capabilities in Slovio
Email runs inside Slovio Automation, triggered by the same events as every other channel, with no separate tool to maintain.
Connect a Gmail account with Google sign-in and send from your own address.
Use ZeptoMail for transactional sending, with a choice of Global, India or Europe data centres.
Set the from name and address on each step, so receipts and updates arrive under your brand.
Subject lines and bodies accept workflow variables such as name, order number and booking time.
Start from any Automation trigger, with conditions and branches around the email step.
Place email beside WhatsApp, SMS and RCS steps in one workflow, so each message goes out on the right channel.
How it works
Connect a sender, add email to a workflow, then check each run.
Connect Gmail with Google sign-in, or add ZeptoMail and choose its data centre.
Place an email step after any trigger, with variables in the subject and body and conditions around it.
Open the workflow’s session logs to see every run, when it started and how it finished.
Use cases
The messages customers expect in their inbox, sent the moment something happens.
A confirmation is sent as soon as an order or payment is recorded, with the details filled in.
Email the customer when a ticket changes status or a booking is confirmed.
A lead qualified on WhatsApp receives the proposal by email in the same workflow.
A new contact receives a welcome email as the first step of an onboarding workflow.
Part of the platform
What happens on Email joins the same contact record as every other Slovio channel, so your team sees one history per customer.
Transactional email is sent because of something a customer did, such as placing an order, making a payment or confirming a booking. Lifecycle email is sent at a stage in the customer relationship, such as a welcome or onboarding message. Slovio sends both as steps in your Automation workflows, triggered by the events you choose.
Slovio sends email through a connected Gmail account, authorised with Google sign-in, or through a connected ZeptoMail account for transactional sending. Gmail suits teams that want messages to come from an existing mailbox, while ZeptoMail is designed for application-generated email such as receipts, confirmations and account notifications.
Yes. The subject and body of a Slovio email step accept workflow variables, such as the contact’s name, an order number or a booking time, which are filled in when the workflow runs. Contact details come from Slovio CRM, so each email reflects the latest information held for that customer.
Yes. In Slovio Automation an email step sits in the same workflow as WhatsApp, SMS and RCS steps, so a single trigger can notify a customer on several channels. Conditions and branches let you decide which channel each message uses, for example a WhatsApp update followed by a detailed email receipt.
The Slovio ZeptoMail step lets you choose the Global, India or Europe data centre. The region you select must match the region in which your ZeptoMail account is registered, so a business with an India-hosted ZeptoMail account selects the India data centre. The data centre is set on each email step, alongside the from address, from name, subject and HTML body.
No. Email in Slovio is send-only, so it is not a Team Inbox channel. Replies go to the mailbox of the address you send from: the connected Gmail account, or the from address on a ZeptoMail step. For two-way conversations, invite customers to continue on WhatsApp, Instagram or web chat, where replies reach the Slovio Team Inbox.
Connect Gmail or ZeptoMail and send your first transactional email from a workflow.
